Terrain Building Extravaganza!

So I wanted to get some terrain knocked out before the start of the Badab War campaign here at the house. Below is the first fruits of that effort. Starting with a game in progress here at the house between the Ultramarines 2nd company and da Red Orkses across the new industrial world terrain. Austin leading the dOrks and Az leading the Ultras in a DoW, Annihilation mission.

Silly Battlewagon, that's not a street, that's a building.
Things look grim for those Ultras.
Bombed out building interior
Game ended in a 6 to 2 KP win for the da Red Orkses!

This is the Agriworld terrain that my wonderful gf helped me assemble.
Pumping fan.
Alien Flora
Power station. Going to add some cotton smoke from those vents I think.
Generatorium
These pod things are always creepy looking. Too much 4chan I think.
Ancient alien tech.
Harvestable plant for feeding the mewling masses of the hive cities.
The (almost finished) Agri table.
The dumptruck will need to be modeled a little bit and painted.

Onward to my Industrial world terrain!
Shrine to Macharias
Shrine to Marines.
Subway entrance. Love the visual effect.
Aquila Square
Space Wolf Rhino husk
Bombed out Rhino from GW. Also Space Wolf, lookin at you Lue.

All said and done I am stoked about not only the terrain that is finished but also what is to come. Onward to get my Howling Griffons done before the start of the war!

Progress on the painting desk!

So with the ideas fresh in my melon here is the Chapter Master Regio Venator (Pedro Kantor for those keeping track on the home game.)

Above is Codicier Maxamillian Stark with kung-fu magnet hand grip!
And lastly, a Canis Wolfborn I am painting for a client.

So I bought a new digital camera and have been toying with it. The pics in this post are from the new Canon. Hope you enjoy! Picked up the Griffons Landspeeder and the Vindicator. More pics with them as soon as the quartering is done. Also, going through the steps to put a red LED in my Crusader. I get tired of painting the interior for no reason, so adding a little light will make it pop in my eyes.

As if I didn't have enough crap to do...

So with the drop of the FW 9:Badab War, I decided to run the campaign from the books. This ballooned better than I had assumed with ppl coming out of the woodwork to join in the ladder campaign. So with the campaign in mind I settled on the Howling Griffons chapter; I used the quartering pattern out of the SM Codex as opposed to the pattern from the Badab book. The patterns are the reverse of one another and I am unclear if it is a mistake on FW's part, or some intended alternative scheme.
This plus a Vindicator = 2k pts, and some hrs of painting.
My Pedro Chap Master Regio Venator
Necessary Sternguard
Codex Astartes approved Night Livery paint scheme. The Howling Griffons being fresh from a previous deployment on a night world. (The FLUFF!)

Completed Lilith and whats next!

To all faithful observers I apologize this post is a little late. The whole house has come down with the flu and wiped us out. Very little progress has been made on the miniature front. Without further excuse I bring you the completed Lillith and some glimpses of whats next.

Very pleased with the final result on her. Up next a project for a client. The pic below is not my work but instead what I am basing my green stuffing on. Lue Bangs here on the boards has requested this style for his 2 Iron Priests. I will post the final works when completed.
And lastly; you know you have been in a hobby too long when you decide to do a vanila Marine army and after a short perusal of your bits you CRAP OUT 1850pts. Thats right, I had an entire 1850+ army just in my bits...sad. Nonetheless the Howling Griffons will be making their painting debut here on the blog. Because I don't have enough to do already.
